LEGO Game Makers
In this interactive design and engineering camp, campers step into the role of Game Makers as they imagine, build, and test original LEGO® games. From mazes and racing challenges to board games and video game–inspired levels, campers explore how games are designed to be fun, fair, and engaging.
Campers will learn how to:
Design and build original LEGO® games using creative rules and mechanics
Explore foundational game design concepts such as goals, challenges, and player experience
Apply the engineering design process: imagine, build, test, and improve
Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking skills through iterative playtesting
Practice communication and collaboration while sharing feedback and refining designs
Through open-ended challenges and guided prompts, campers are encouraged to think like designers—experimenting with ideas, testing gameplay, and improving their creations based on feedback. No prior experience is required; this camp is designed to build confidence, creativity, and foundational STEAM skills in a fun, playful way.
By the end of the camp, campers will have created original LEGO® games, developed core STEAM and design-thinking skills, and showcased their creations at an exciting Game Expo.
