After-School STEAM Your Office Never Has to Manage
LEGO engineering, robotics and coding right after dismissal, run end to end by Journey to STEAM. We handle registration, payments, instructors, materials, rosters and insurance. Your office forwards one flyer. 95% of our school partners invite us back.
We reply within one business day.

What we run at schools
After-school enrichment
Weekly one-hour classes, eight sessions a term, in one classroom, cafeteria or library. Fall, winter and spring build on each other.
Family STEM nights
One evening where families build, test and try again together. A strong fit for back-to-school and family engagement nights.
No-school-day and break camps
Full-day and half-day camps in your building on in-service days and breaks, when your district allows.
Scholarship seats
Need-based scholarships from the Journey to STEAM Scholarship Fund, plus partner-funded seats when a PTA or sponsor wants to cover families.
Second sections
When a class fills and families wait, we open a second section if the room allows.
Flyers and outreach done for you
Print flyers, social graphics in English and Spanish, and a direct registration link. You send one message.
How it works
- Say yes and pick a day. Tell us the room and the day of the week that works. We match an instructor and build the schedule around your dismissal time.
- We send the flyer. Print and digital, in English and Spanish, with a registration link. Your office sends it home once and shares it in the newsletter.
- Families register online. Through enrops, our registration system. Your office handles no money and no forms.
- We show up and run it. Instructor in the building 15 minutes early, roster check-in, headcounts at every transition, authorized-adult pickup. You get a recap after the term.
What you can count on
- Screened and trained instructors. Background checked and trained in child protection and mandatory reporting before the first class, with annual safety and first aid refreshers. Fewer than 10% of applicants are hired.
- Insurance on file. General liability with abuse and molestation coverage. A certificate of insurance naming your organization, on request.
- Attendance for every session. Live rosters and digital attendance, every session, every site.
- Light on your building. One room for about an hour after dismissal. We bring every material and leave the room the way we found it.
- Equity built in. Scholarships in every program, so the class reflects your school.
- Built by a principal. Dr. Arielle Hammond, Ed.D., spent a decade leading schools before she founded Journey to STEAM in 2023.

“Journey to STEAM met a great need in our school community! The students who participated were excited to have an outlet to continue to tap into the creative aspects of their personalities.”

What does my office have to do?
Forward one flyer, share the registration link once in the newsletter, and tell us which room. That's it. Registration, payments, reminders, rosters, supplies and instructors are ours.
What does it cost the school?
Nothing. Families pay online. Some schools ask for a small facility fee and we work with that; some partners fund seats for families instead. Either way, your office never handles money.
Do you provide proof of insurance?
Yes. A certificate of insurance naming your school or district, on request.
How are your instructors screened?
Background checked, with reference checks and credential verification, then trained in child protection and mandatory reporting before their first class. Annual refreshers on safety, mandatory reporting and first aid.
What space do you need?
One classroom, cafeteria or library for about an hour after dismissal, with tables. We bring LEGO, robots, Chromebooks and everything else.
Which grades?
Kindergarten through grade 6, grouped by age in small groups, with app building for grades 4 to 6.
How do families who can't pay join?
Through need-based scholarships from the Journey to STEAM Scholarship Fund. Your PTA or a sponsor can also fund seats. No child is turned away because of finances.
When can we start?
Programs start at the beginning of each term (fall, winter, spring) and late starts are common in the first month. Tell us your timing.
